Yokohama Launches The “Extreme Traction” 907W Commercial Winter Tire

Langley, BC (Dec 8, 2023) – Yokohama Tire (Canada) Inc. is launching the 907W, a premium, extreme traction drive tire designed for fleets and operators who are looking to keep trucks rolling in the snow and icy conditions that typically make up Canadian winters.

The 907W carries the three-peak mountain snowflake symbol, which means it meets or exceeds the industry’s performance criteria for severe snow service. It will come in three sizes: 295/75R22.5, 11R22.5 and 11R24.5.

“Operators of Canada’s commercial fleets need a tire that is going to keep the goods moving in all the conditions typical of Canadian winters, which is what the 907W™ provides,” said Diana Colosimo, Brand Development Manager for Yokohama Tire (Canada) Inc. “With a deeper optimized tread and rugged new compound, the 907W™ will help trucks and their cargo get around safely and sure-footedly on wintry roads, even under the most extreme conditions that are sure to come around at least once in Canada’s cold-weather months.”

Among the features of the 907W™ are:

-- A 27/32-inch tread depth that provides longer lasting snow performance and longer original tread life.

-- An advanced new compound that resists scrubbing, cutting, and chipping for long, durable service.

-- Combination blocks that combat heel/toe wear to enhance traction.

-- Power ribs with 3D sipes to provide firm ground contact and improved ice and snow performance.

-- Four zig-zag grooves that efficiently evacuate water while providing enhanced radial and lateral traction in the most extreme weather conditions.
